The AGTV enjoys cooperative partnerships with the Goethe-Institut Melbourne. AGTV Committee meetings are held at the GI premises at Level 1/448 St Kilda Road. The AGTV's Goethe Boutique is housed at the GI premises and orders are processed by the Goethe-Institut.
Teachers are encouraged to register for the GI E-newsletters through their website http://www.goethe.de/melbourne to keep up to date with both language and cultural programs. Teachers are encouraged to enroll in GI Language courses including the GI Summer Schools and to apply for GI scholarships to maintain and extend their language skills.
The German Language Advisor in Melbourne is employed through the Goethe-Institut, having responsibilities in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. His duties include organizing professional learning programs through the Goethe-Institut and in cooperation with the AGTV Committee, visiting AGTV Networks, and providing advice to the Department of Education and Training on matters concerning German. The German Advisor is a member of the AGTV Committee.
