About AGTV - National Cooperation

At a meeting in Adelaide in 2002 representatives from the states and territories founded the Network of Australian Teachers of German (NATG). The structure of the NATG allows for the different organizational structures in each state and territory in Australia to come together to discuss further cooperation across state boundaries. The AGTV represents teachers of German in Victoria within the NATG.

At the 2002 meeting the NATG agreed to further cooperate through annual NATG meetings, the development of a national website (AusDaF), and the development of SZENE as a national journal for teachers of German. Please visit the AusDaF website for information about networking across Australia.

The website AusDaF is a portal with links to key sites in each state and territory for information and contacts for teaching and learning German in schools. The initial development of the website was funded by Goethe-Institut Melbourne.

The journal for teachers of German, produced 3 times per year - SZENE - has contributions from throughout Australia. For information about subscriptions to SZENE please contact the Editor at: szene@germanlinx.vic.edu.au.

The AGTV is represented within the Australian Federation of Modern Language Teachers' Associations (AFMLTA - their newsletter now available online) through the affiliation with the Modern Language Teachers' Association of Victoria (MLTAV).
