About AGTV - Structure of the AGTV

The AGTV is a voluntary non-profit organisation of teachers to support the teaching and learning of German in schools and has been incorporated since 1992. The AGTV structure includes a central Committee of up to 20 people and representatives from the Goethe-Institut Melbourne, and 12 AGTV Teacher Networks throughout Victoria.

AGTV Networks are organised around geographical regions to facilitate local support of AGTV members. They consist of one or two Network Leaders and member teachers working together to support the teaching and learning of German in their Network and beyond.

The AGTV enjoys cooperative partnerships with other organisations and groups in supporting the teaching and learning of German in Victoria and beyond. See a graphic representation of the current organisational structure.

The AGTV contracts the services of personnel to administer the organisation including: SZENE Editor, BJR Coordinator, Homepage and Germanlinx Managers. Occasional grants from the Department of Education, Employment and Training have supported several projects including the development of Germanlinx. (Extract from Constitution)
