PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
FOR TEACHERS OF GERMAN
The AGTV Committee organises professional learning opportunities through face to face meetings, seminars and conferences for teachers of German, and through electronic networks to share information, ideas and strategies with individual members, and the teachers' journal SZENE, which is complimentary with every membership. Events are listed on this website under 'What's on for German' for online registration. If you have a request, please contact the AGTV: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. An annual conference is usually held each year. In 2019, the Victorian State Conference is organised by the Committee of the AGTV Inc. with the support of the Victorian Government, Kultur und Sprache (Austria) and the Goethe-Institut Australien. The Goethe-Institut Australia organise a National Conference every two years.
Occasional workshops are offered by the AGTV throughout the year. Some AGTV Pop Up PDs may be offered or requested and organised with the assistance of AGTV Network Leaders and will be open to all individual members of the Association.
Distinctions are made between individual members and non-members on most occasions. NB: The AGTV also organises the AGTV-BJR Exchange and other events for students.
