Deutsche in Melbourne website - this site might be of interest to some of you from Germany. It is of interest for all as material for intercultural explorations of how some people find living in Australia. Extract from the website: Hier entsteht das erste Forum für Deutsche, die bereits in Melbourne leben, neu hinzugezogen sind oder hinzuziehen werden; Deutsche, die vorüber gehend in Melbourne arbeiten oder arbeiten möchten; Deutsche, die hier Freude oder Verwandte besuchen oder wissen möchten, wie diese leben, oder aber Deutsche, die ganz einfach Urlaub in Victorias Haupstadt planen oder machen. http://www.deutscheinmelbourne.net
DEECD Website for Early, Years, Primary, Secondary Students & Teachers (incl. information for International students) - you can access ideas and resources being promoted in government schools e.g. International Year of Astronomy. Search for ‘German’ for approved DEECD links. (Germanlinx, Goethe-Institut and AGTV sites come up with searches as well) Well worth exploring! www.education.vic.gov.au/students
The poems have been forwarded to NW Leaders for distribution within their Networks. Students select one to learn auswendig. A great activity to develop memory in students – and we all want them to remember things, nicht wahr? Contact your local Network Leader for details about how many can attend the Regional Final from your school. For the judging criteria CLICK HERE.
Weltweit - deine Stimme: for students between 12 and 20. Write your own song in German!

Additionally, the rappers Roger Rekless & Nico Suave have put together a song for their upcoming tour. Listen to ‚Hallo Australien‘ - a musical teaser and great material to prepare students for the concerts!
