November  7-9

AGTV/GI Weekend State Conference: Log on: Passwort Deutsch -
Log! Blog! What next? Is it possible to engage Generation X, Y and Z without technology?

Technology and the Internet provide teachers with a rich source of resources and tools to engage their students as well as creative opportunities for students to learn and demonstrate their learning.

Presentations range from the Medieval Europe to Web 2.0 and research into the bilingual brain, and include practising teachers showcasing the effective use of ICT and other strategies to promote language learning.

Two Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr. Wolfgang Malik is currently based in Sweden & is sponsored by the Austrian Ministry for Education, Art and Culture (BM:UKK). His keynote will cover how young people in Austria - Generation Web 2.0 - use ICT in their daily lives.
  • Prof. Dr. Claudia Riehl from the University of Cologne in Germany has completed research into the bilingual brain which has implications for the development of effective learning programs.

This conference is consistently rated as excellent by an overwhelming majority of teachers attending who all enjoy the excellent and varied program as well as the opportunity to informally network with colleagues in a relaxed and salubrious setting. The conference will take place at Lancemore Hill in Kilmore. Travel grants & subsidies expect to be available for teachers from country networks as well as heavily subsidised registrations for Training Teachers.
