49 – 89 – 2009 - This is an absolutely fabulous and comprehensive collection of resources ranging from the Grundgesetz to the lives of Die Deutschen today, including interactive online quizzes (some with audio) to learn about Germany, the Germans and German, tips for teaching etc. Set aside a good block of time to peruse this one: http://www.goethe.de/lhr/prj/kal/deindex.htm

Step Into German – This collaborative project is is an initiative of the American Association of Teachers of German ( AATG), the California Language Teachers Association (CLTA) and the Goethe-Institut San Francisco. Learn more about Germany and the German language. You can watch video clips of some of Germany’s top rock, pop and hiphop artists and thus find out what kind of music is popular in Germany, and offers linguistic and cultural information on German and Germany in fun-filled and interactive ways. The lyrics of many songs are available in both German and English: http://www.stepintogerman.org/
We spend a lot of time looking at German-speaking countries and cultures, but how is Australia being promoted by the Australian government in Europe?
As a point of comparison, it is worth comparing events and exhibitions on the official websites of the Australian embassies and looking at how Australia presents itself in German-speaking countries.

Die Regeln: 3-4 Klassen schicken sich einmal pro Woche Post. Man weiß aber in den ersten drei Wochen nicht, wo auf der Welt die Anderen sind. Jede Klasse erhält einen Codenamen (z.B. Schneewittchen, Goethe). Zu den Codenamen wird später gegenseitig informiert. http://www.goethe.de/lhr/pro/odyssee/
