The AGTV was founded in 1979 and is led by its members through an elected central Committee and nominated Network Leaders throughout Victoria. We work in close partnership with the Goethe-Institut Australia and are supported by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD). The AGTV was a founding member of the Network of Australian Teachers of German (NATG) in 2002, which now has representation from all states and territories in Australia.
Our members choose to work collaboratively across sectors – primary and secondary, country and metropolitan, government and independent – to provide services to promote the teaching and learning of German in Victoria and beyond. We promote supportive and professional learning relationship between teachers of German within and across AGTV Networks to benefit the students learning German in schools. See About AGTV.
It is AGTV policy to make clear distinctions between members and non-members when offering our services. For a list of services in 2008 CLICK HERE.
NB: The AGTV is NOT registered for the GST and so does not issue Tax Invoices.
