Resources for a visit to the Melbourne Zoo
In 2008 the Primary German Day Out was held at the Melbourne Zoo. For a full report and photos including the Elfchen poems written by students visit Germanlinx. These resources were provided for the day and remain useful for teachers planning a visit to the zoo:
Bei mir - bei dir: Our place (Intercultural Learning through Photos) - What is considered completely normal on one side of the planet might be totally fremd on the other.
The project was conducted in 2008 where students in Victoria and Germany exchanged photos and stories to learn about and reflect upon similarities and differences of every day life in each culture. A CD was produced by the Goethe-Institut Australia containing selected contributions.
